When you say...

...strength is health, what do you mean by 'strength'? They ask me.

And since they ask me just that, my answer turns out to be a question:

What is 'health'?

And then we make paper-planes, so that we avoid further questions...

Why health? Why strength?

Are you healthy?

Are you strong?

Are you healthy but not strong?

Are you strong but not healthy?

What do you think?

You can take the horse to the lake...

No! It is very tough to do that: taking the horse to the lake. So the lake is taken to the horse.

The lake must be taken to the horse.

Cognition is inseparable from locomotion

From twitter:

I shall refrain from making any comments on Yoga at this point.

One sentence strikes me strongly: Cognition is inseparable from locomotion and still poses do not engage cognition much.

That little house that you've interior designed, are you locomoting in there? Does that interior designed house keep you still?

Those two words must sound really heavy-duty for interior designers of houses. So the interior designers can click each of the words right below and find the meanings and probably attempt to understand a little bit too. Woah!

Cognition

Locomotion

That space in the house called bedroom

...is used for:

  • Sleeping, of course
  • Sitting on the bed (for just sitting or for reading something or for talking on mobile phone or watching TV {if TV has been installed in the bedroom} or for doing funny things on the laptop or for eating or for sorting veggies or for whatever else)
  • Sitting at the computer table/ writing table
  • Dressing, likely in front of a mirror
  • Storing clothes
  • Storing a few things other than clothes too
  • Keeping the wardrobe/closet that stores clothes
  • Keeping the bed that you sleep or sit on
Is the list over? It looks like 'sitting' is a very very important use of the bedroom. Sorry sorry, 'sleeping' too I suppose in equal measure.

Actually, I look at the list again and it looks like 'keeping' (the wardrobe and the bed) is the most important use of the bedroom! Is it?!

First you shape the building, then...

...the building shapes you.

First you shape the car, then the car shapes you.

First you design the interiors of your house, then the interiors of your house design you.

An obese interior design may turn you obese. A strong one may turn you strong. You get it, I hope.

To my understanding, the economics of real estate in India, and the desire, and the fetish for a certain kind of interior design in Indian houses are, in a huge way, responsible for the deteriorating health of a huge huge number of Indians. This blog is an effort to counter that.

This blog also chronicles my journey to become stronger by way of designing my personal space to become stronger. I will collect and present information that makes sense to me and that may be immensely useful for those willing to change their personal space to become stronger.
